Terms & Conditions – Althea

These general terms and conditions apply to every order placed through Althea’s webshop. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Article 1 – Definitions

Withdrawal period: the period during which the consumer can exercise their right of withdrawal.

Consumer: any natural person who is not acting in the course of a profession or business and who enters into a distance agreement with Althea.

Day: calendar day.

Durable data carrier: any tool that allows the consumer or Althea to store information for future reference in an unaltered form.

Right of withdrawal: the consumer’s right to dissolve the agreement within the withdrawal period.

Distance agreement: an agreement concluded exclusively through means of distance communication (e.g., webshop).

Althea: the seller and operator of this webshop.

Means of distance communication: any method used to conclude an agreement without the consumer and entrepreneur being physically present at the same time (e.g., online form, email).

Article 3 – Applicability

These terms apply to all offers and agreements concluded via Althea’s webshop.
Before completing an order, the consumer is given access to these terms. If this is not possible, the terms will be sent free of charge upon request.

Article 4 – The Offer

We describe all products as accurately as possible. Images are a true representation, although colors may slightly differ from reality.
All offers are subject to availability and may be changed. Althea cannot be held liable for typographical or factual errors in product information.

Each offer includes at least:

  • The total price including VAT

  • Any applicable shipping costs

  • Information about the right of withdrawal

  • Ordering procedure

  • Payment, delivery, and performance details

  • The validity period of the offer

Article 5 – The Agreement

The agreement is established once the consumer accepts the offer and meets all stated conditions.
For online orders, Althea confirms receipt via email.
We take appropriate security measures for digital payments.
Althea reserves the right to cancel an order if there is justified doubt about the customer’s payment capacity.

For every order, the consumer will receive:

  • Company contact details

  • Return policy and instructions

  • Warranty terms

  • Duration of the agreement (if applicable)

Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt, without providing a reason.
During this period, you must handle the product with care.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please email us within 14 days. After notifying us, you have another 14 days to return the product.

Returns must be:

  • In original packaging and with labels

  • Unused

  • Shipped with a valid Track & Trace code (shipping costs and responsibility are at the customer’s expense)

Article 7 – Return Costs

Return shipping costs are at your own expense.
Once we have received the returned product or proof of shipment, the purchase amount will be refunded within 14 days.

Article 8 – Exceptions to Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Products made to order or personalized items

  • Opened sealed products (such as hygiene items or software)

  • Perishable goods

  • Services with a fixed date (such as events or reservations)

Article 9 – Prices

All prices include VAT and may be adjusted if required by law or regulation.
Althea is not liable for obvious pricing errors, such as typographical or technical mistakes.

Article 10 – Conformity & Warranty

Our products must comply with the agreement and be of reasonable quality.
Any defects or delivery issues must be reported within 14 days of discovery.
Warranty conditions correspond with those of the manufacturer and do not affect your statutory rights.

Warranty becomes void if:

  • The product has been modified or misused

  • Damage results from improper use or failure to follow instructions

Article 11 – Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
If a delay occurs, you will be informed.
If delivery takes longer than 30 days, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.
Althea bears the risk of damage or loss until the moment of delivery.

Article 12 – Subscriptions (if applicable)

Consumers may cancel ongoing or fixed-term subscriptions with a one-month notice period.
Automatic renewals are only permitted if clearly communicated and limited to a maximum of three months.
Trial subscriptions end automatically.

Article 13 – Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be completed within 7 days after the start of the withdrawal period.
In case of late or incorrect payment, Althea may charge reasonable collection fees.

Article 14 – Complaints

Complaints must be reported within 7 days after detection.
We respond within 14 days of receipt. If more time is needed, you will be informed with a new deadline.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it can be submitted to the competent authority.

Article 15 – Disputes

All agreements are governed by Dutch law, even if the consumer resides outside the Netherlands.
